The old saying is true... time flies when you are having fun. It is hard to believe that one year from tomorrow, Chad and I will get married. It is even harder to believe that we have known each other for less than a year. And just six weeks after we met, we were engaged. But... when you know, you know. There is no doubt in my mind that Chad is my soul mate, b'sheret, best friend... my heart & soul. I never in my wildest dreams could imagine I would find someone who makes me this happy and for whom I am thankful for every day. I am tearing up just writing this. But when I was searching for "him," I never thought this was possible, and I know why... because I had not yet met Chad.
Enough with the sappy crap... we are getting married one year from tomorrow!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. Growing up, I always thought I would marry a woman and have kids... you know, the way it is "supposed to be." But I am so excited to be marrying Chad and doing so in the synagogue where I grew up. True, it is not a legal marriage, but to the naked eye, it will look like a typical wedding. Not only did we get the date and place we want to get married, but we got the photographer, florist, videographer, caterer, and DJ we wanted too (yes, a DJ... neither of us like bands). So that is pretty much all I wanted to say. This weekend, I think Chad and I are going to come up with our master list of everything that needs to happen. From the big things like linens, invitations, wedding rings, and registering, to the smaller things like place cards and wedding party gifts. We will do a column of what needs to be done, who is responsible, when it needs to get done, and when it is completed. Hopefully our hyper-organization will make it a flawless event and a night to remember.
Check back often for more Random Ramblings!
